Why should I donate through Force for Good?

  • Your donation is tax deductible! If you donate via Payroll (pre-tax) your tax benefit is immediate. If you donate via credit card (post tax) you can download your tax-deductible receipt at tax time and you might also earn points on your card.
  • Force for Good offers flexibility and choice – with hundreds of charities and thousands of projects which you can choose to support. It also offers you the flexibility to decide when and how often you’d like to donate and whether you want to give to a specific project or to a general fund for your preferred charity.
  • CyberCX covers the administration fees so 100% of your donation goes to your chosen charity (note CyberCX does not cover credit card fees)

How should I choose a charity to donate to?

There are hundreds of worthwhile charities and projects on Force for Good. Your decision to support one charity over another is usually based on your interest in the cause. Some useful questions to ask yourself are:

  • What am I passionate about?
  • What do I feel most strongly about?
  • What is the problem I’d like to fix?
  • Who are the people I want to help?

How do I donate?

Select ‘donate’ from the top left-hand navigation bar.

Enter a search term in the search bar or use the filters on the left side panel: Causes’, ‘SDG’s’ or ‘Price Range’ to browse charities by a specific criterion.

Click “Donate Now”, this will display more information

Next, you choose if you’d like to donate via Payroll, Gift Voucher or Credit Card.

Via Payroll Giving

If you choose to donate via Payroll, you will be asked to Log in if you’re not already logged in.

If you are already logged in and you have selected “Payroll”, you can also elect to Donate every pay cycle. (ie, automatically deducted from your pay cycle each month) Your donation pledge will now be set up in your Donation basket awaiting the date of your next pay cycle (if after the 1st of the month, it will be processed the following month).

What if I get a message that I am not eligible to make a workplace giving pledge?

Only team members paid via CyberCX payroll are eligible to donate via Payroll Giving. If you receive this message in error, contact askusanything@cybercx.com.au

Via Credit Card

  • Please enter your credit card details and click ‘add card to complete payment’. A small credit card payment fee of 1% plus 10 cents is applied on top of the donation to ensure that all transaction charges are covered. At this point you may wish to donate an extra $2 or $5 donation to GoodCompany to support their services. This is purely optional.
  • Please note you can tick the box “Securely save my card for future donations” to store your credit card details eliminating the need to re-enter each time or opt to use an already saved credit card.
  • You can also elect to Donate every pay cycle. (ie, automatically deducted from your pay cycle each month) Your donation pledge will now be set up in your Donation basket awaiting the date of your next pay cycle.

I am involved with a charity outside of work and would like to include them on the website. What is the process?

Charities must meet certain criteria to join the program including Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1. You can check to see if a charity is DGR item 1 by searching the Australian Business Register here.

If a charity you’re passionate about is not registered with GoodCompany and they meet the criteria, please let us know if you are willing to champion their cause via advocacy, donations, volunteering or fundraising. Details of the charity can be emailed through to support@goodcompany.org
