Every year Tangaroa Blue coordinators are joined by a team of volunteers for week-long remote clean-up events in six sites across Cape York! Isolated from normal community action, these locations are some of the most polluted in Australia, with up to 1 tonne of marine debris, mainly plastic, washing up on every kilometre of beach. Over 95% of this debris is washing in from international sources and will remain to indefinitely degrade into microplastics without these massive clean-up activities. Your donation will help continue these remote clean-up events funding 4WDs, fuel, catering, campsites, clean-up equipment, removal and recycling of marine debris removed. #leaveitbetterthanyoufoundit
