Your donation will help to discover the causes of flares of Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE) commonly known as Lupus. This an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. It can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and other organs. SLE is more common in women than in men.

The Allergy and Immunology Foundation of Australasia (AIFA) funds research into diseases of the human immune system. AIFA encourages early researchers who would not necessarily be awarded grants from large grant-giving bodies.
